Shabbat Dinners

Hillel hosts Shabbat dinners at least twice a month during Fall and Spring Semesters, both on and off campus. Please see the calendar for upcoming dates.

Holidays with Hillel

Hillel celebrates holidays both on and off campus. We are fortunate the Knoxville Jewish community welcoming our students to join them for holidays. We also provide meals and celebrations specifically for our students.

Shabbaton in the Smokies

During the Spring Semester, our students are treated to an Israel-focused Shabbaton (two-night retreat) to the Smoky Mountains. Students cook together, hike on Shabbat morning, create crafts, watch a movie, sing and pray during Havdalah, and build long-lasting relationships. We are grateful to work with Hillel International to offset funding through a grant.

Israel Programs

Hillel at UTK students participate in Israel programs both near and far. On campus, students are involved in Israel discussions and events. Students also participate in Taglit Birthright trips and AIPAC conferences.
